Living Out The Gospel

I sort of agree with the saying “Preach the Word…use words only if necessary.”
To be honest, being a Christian is more than being a nice kid. For not cheating, not cussing, not have premarital sexual activity, etc. But you have to tell them why you’re doing that! Let them know that you live your life 100% for Christ!
People should be able to tell that there is something different about you by their actions, but for all they know, you could be some nice Buddhist kid. Really, they’re not gonna know if you don’t tell them.
Paul, from the Bible, didn’t walk around doing good deeds and being silent. Oh no. God gave him a mouth and hand–and he used it to preach the gospel! People knew he was a Believer by his words for Christ. Actions are part of it, but that’s not the whole kaboodle.
Live your faith out through not only your actions, but your words as well. Preach it!

Thanks Josie.
The “preach the gospel at all times…” comment is attributed to St. Francis of Assisi. If only he knew he’d make it onto our blog about 800 years after his death.
