What is Mosaic?

Immanuel’s Student Leadership Development Program. We believe all students are gifted by God, and everyone has a way in which they can serve and influence.

Where does Mosaic meet?

All tiles meet at the Summit at 6:00 each Wednesday. From there, they break out into different locations, as detailed in the tile descriptions.

How can I be involved?

Choose a Tile (a team), then show up and contribute! Here are some options:

Tekkies — Location: The Summit

Have you ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes of a worship service? This tile will begin with learning how to design and run the technical parts of Collision, our weekly worship program, including how to run the sound board, setup and tear down, the lighting system, computer imaging (for songs and sermons), and what it looks like to serve behind the scenes. We eventually hope to design, edit and produce videos for various student ministry areas. Serve God in ways you never thought possible!

Sports –- Location: Main Gym

Do you enjoy sports? Does the competition between two teams get you pumped up? Do you look forward to just hanging out with friends playing basketball, football, or whatever else? Then this tile is for you! Come and experience those same feelings while also discovering how you can use your passion for sports to influence people for Jesus.

Drama –- Location: Room 169

Have a flair for the dramatic? Enjoy expressing yourself? This tile will not only work on skits and dramas to do regularly for student events, but also help you develop confidence in who you are as God created you to be. We will be playing dramatic games, practicing exercises that help you become a better actor or actress, and just having fun ACTING OUT!

Producers – Location: Room 185 E (Breakout Room In the Summit)

The Producers manage production in the Student Ministry. They are a creative team, developing concepts to be used in events like Collision or quarterly Not Only For You (NOFY) events. They are a practical team, going and accomplishing the tasks that create environments for worship or outreach. Come join the Producers!

How did Mosaic begin?

Mosaic started as a seed in the hearts of several of our adult leaders. We had been reading what social scientists, culture critics, and others are saying about this generation. While some of it was helpful, one thing stood out to us that we believe was flat out WRONG! They said this generation of teens didn’t care about anyone but themselves; they were not only self-absorbed, but also unwilling to push themselves to become the leaders our world needs. Fighting back against this opinion, we began Mosaic, a program where we not only teach students what it means to be Christ-like servant leaders, but also develop and put into action their passions, gifts, and abilities. God created each of them with the potential for influence. Our hope is that we can further develop who He made them to be, exercising their influence to make a difference in the church and in His Kingdom.
